Last month ClassPass reached out to me as they were launching their service in Seattle for a month-long trial. If you haven’t heard of ClassPass check out my intro post here with all the details.
To give you a quick overview, ClassPass in an alternative to a gym membership allowing you to have access to some of the best fitness boutiques in the city. For $99 a month, your membership gets you unlimited classes from a large network of fitness studios in your city. The only caveat being that you can only visit the same studio 3 times a month, and once the next month starts you can go to that same studio again for 3 visits. It’s a pretty sweet deal if you think about it considering a lot of the yoga/barre/pilates classes can run you $20 a pop.

After completing my 3 sessions at Bar Method I decided to try out Barre3 Roosevelt. Barre3 was very similar to what I’d learned from my 3 classes at Bar Method, but I do like that the instructors at Barre3 change up the routines week by week.
I then proceeded to try out FlyWheel for a cycling class. I used to be really into indoor cycling classes several years back but then I moved cities and hadn’t found one that I liked as much as my old class. FlyWheel was not a disappointment and 60 minutes flew by before I even realized. When the class starts the lights are dimmed and the music is cranked up loud so you feel like it is just you, your bike and the beat. My only complaint is that there weren’t any fans or forms of air flow in the room and with 30+ people in close proximity sweating their buns off, the air starts to become pretty stale and stinky quick!
I didn’t use up all three visits to FlyWheel on cycle classes, I also did their FlyBarre class as well. Their barre class is most definitely one of the more difficult of the two others that I tried. The formatting of their classes tends to take a more high-intensity athletic approach and their section of the class called dynamic arms is killer!
Overall, I was really impressed with my trial of ClassPass. Their website is super easy to navigate and use, and signing up for classes just involved one click. There’s a large enough variety of studios to pick from in the area that you’ll never feel bored in your fitness routine.
If you live in the Seattle area I definitely recommend trying all of these studios out and if you’re looking for a new revamp to your fitness routine or starting to think about those New Year’s resolutions and don’t want to pay a fortune, ClassPass is a pretty awesome alternative.
A big thanks to ClassPass for letting me try out your service!
*Disclosure: ClassPass has given me a free one-month trial of their service in exchange for two blog posts. All opinions and end-of-month review are my own. I only recommend products or services I would use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
