It has been one week since we got back from our trip to Mexico we stayed a few miles outside of Puerto Vallarta in what is called the “hotel zone” but thanks to a tip from one of our Uber drivers we also did a day trip to venture out to the smaller, more hippie-surfer town of Sayulita.
Compared to Puerto Vallarta, this is a very small beach-front town with an even more slow living vibe than what we’d experienced in PV. Though it is small, it is filled with restaurants and beach bars, of which I’m convinced has no bad food options.
After wondering around the downtown area for a bit we had lunch at Barracuda Sayulita. It was absolutely delicious and David still keeps commenting about the marlin burrito he had there. We finished up our time by at El Break Cafe, a relaxed surf-themed bar and cafe with a beach-front view. Their sangria was muy bien and so was their veggie burrito.
