If you haven’t notice, short suits are having a big moment in women’s fashion. Once a popular look in the 90s (and tracing back to Julia Roberts’ short suit in Pretty Woman), this look has definitely made a comeback. If you look through a few photos of this style on Pinterest, the formula isn’t really that hard to recreate without going out and buying a brand new short suit set.
A short suit set a lot of the time is the same color or print on both the shorts and the blazer, but it can also be done in a monochrome tone-on-tone way as well. The shorts are usual high-waisted (sometimes belted too) with an oversized blazer.
That’s how I recreated my short suit set look. I’m a big fan of oversize blazers and had this pink one already in my closet (similar here and here). I’d also bought my pink bowed shorts (similar version here) last summer that paired well with the blazer for a monochromatic look. My floral cami is one I found at Nordstrom Rack recently but it is already sold out (here are two very similar ones).
